Beatrice Bork is an artist with the heart of a naturalist. She derives her inspiration and knowledge of nature through firsthand field experiences, whether in New Jersey (her home) or while traveling. Working in the medium of watercolor, Beatrice’s paintings of birds and other animals are highly detailed but with elements of abstraction. Her work displays a great sensitivity to the importance of composition but also has strong emotional impact.
Beatrice has established herself within the genre of animal art. Her paintings have been exhibited at numerous solo, and juried local and international exhibits at museums, education institutions and galleries, where collectors from around the world have acquired her work. Over the course of twenty-five years as a professional artist, Beatrice has amassed a list of honors, and been published in a variety of books and magazines. She is a proud signature member of the Society of Animal Artists and a winner of the prestigious Don Eckleberry Award, given for outstanding bird art.
